This Shield  allows for quick, tool-free mounting that allows you to easily convert your standard ballistic helmet into a riot helmet. Every  Lightweight Face Shield is outfitted with a flexible upper flange that stops debris and liquids from entering your eye area from the brim of the helmet. You can quickly adjust the shield down, up or in a stowed position to suit your current needs in the field.

It also provides protection against threats such as 223 Remington (5.56mm FMJ), 30 Carbine FMJ, and 12-gauge rifled slug, as well as Level I through IIIA threats. Level III body armor is clearly intended only for tactical situations when the threat warrants such protection, such as barricade confrontations involving sporting rifles.
